**UPDATE 7/2/11 - I just got word from SICSA that Baxter may have been spotted in the Englewood area, near Wal-mart. If you are in that area, please keep an eye out for him!**
One of the dogs I volunteered with during my time at the failed One More Chance Rescue & Adoption Center in Piqua has gone missing from his new home! Be on the lookout for this sweet guy - his name is Baxter, and this is an updated picture of him from SICSA:
He was adopted from SICSA by a man from the West Milton area - here's what the SICSA worker said: "West Milton area. Male, four year old brindle Akita/Hound mix. He was adopted from SICSA and was originally rescued from Piqua. He is missing some of the tips of his ears thanks to One More Chance. He is very scared. He was adopted to a man and we had to carry him to his truck. I'm so afraid that he is just terrified out in the country by himself. He has been with us here since February. He is not aggressive. He is micro-chipped but he has no collar on. His name is Baxter. He is a brindle with a little white on his chest. I can e-mail you a picture. I just have to find this guy. He was scared to leave our building and now he is wandering all alone. He probably won't come to anyone, but if he is seen please call me 937-369-3193. I can send someone he knows out to try to get him. Please cross post! Thank you!"
I asked SICSA's adoption manager for more details, and she was able to tell me he slipped his lead on June 17th on Fourman Rd. near West Milton. His owner said he just started running. He's very, very shy - so if you see him, please call the number above!
