Ten Totally Amazing Dogs!

In addition to the URGENT dogs listed in my Shelby County entry, there are a lot of new dogs at other area shelters!  Check out the sweethearts below!

Darke County Doggies
(if you're interested in any of the following dogs, call the Darke County Animal Shelter at 937-547-1645!)

First up is Lexi!  She's a 1-year-old Black Lab mix who is a nice dog and loves to play!  She's very friendly - she just needs a great home!

Next up is Rex!  He's a 1-year-old Greyhound mix who is very friendly & is just looking for a home to call his own!

This gorgeous gal is Appy!  She's a 9-month-old German Shepherd mix who will grow to be around 60 lbs.  She's a little sweetheart - she just loves people & attention!  She is current on her shots & is looking for a special home!

Okay, I had to include two pictures of Sophia because that is a whole lot of dog!!  This lovely lady is a 6-year-old Great Pyrenees who was found on St. Rt. 36 outside of Bradford.  She is a friendly girl who loves to be petted, and she'll be ready for adoption on June 3rd.

Meet Bell!  She is a 6-year-old Fox Terrier mix.  She's housebroken, current on her shots, good with kids, and loves to play!

On a side note, the Darke County Animal Shelter will be having an Open House on June 18th from noon to 3:00 p.m.  Hot dogs & snacks will be available for everyone!

Miami County Doggies
(if you'd like to adopt any of the following dogs, please call the Miami County Animal Shelter at 937-332-6919!)

First up is Bruno!  He's a 1 or 2-year-old Boxer who was picked up running loose & hasn't been reclaimed.  He is very quiet and reserved, and just seems to watch everything going on around him.  He's a nice big guy!

Meet Hank!  He's a 1 or 2-year-old Hound who was picked up running loose.  The shelter staff says he's sweet, friendly, and mild-mannered!

Next up is Boss!  He's a 3 or 4-year-old Black Lab.  He, too, was picked up running loose - the shelter staff says he's very friendly and outgoing!  He'll be available for adoption on 6/4/11.

Last but not least, we have Ivy (top) and Jasmine (bottom).  They are both 2-year-old Boston Terriers who were released by their owner, who could no longer care for them.  Both are described as being good with kids, just a little shy & hesitent, but friendly when they come around!
