Two Buckeyes and Thirteen Other Wonderful Dogs!

No new additions to the Darke County Animal Shelter, but Miami & Shelby County Shelters have been busy!  Let's meet the newcomers!

Miami County Dogs
(if you're interested in any of these dogs, please call the Miami County Animal Shelter at 937-332-6919!)

Meet Buckeye!  This gorgeous, 6-year-old Lab ended up at the Miami County Animal Shelter because her owner died & the owner's relatives weren't able to keep her.  :(  Buckeye is spayed, current on her vaccinations, is housebroken, and is good with kids.  The shelter staff says she is a sweet, friendly, gentle, big girl!  Just think - because she's already spayed, it only costs $30 to save her life!  $30!!  That could buy a couple of pizzas for your family, or the unconditional love of a dog who will always be grateful you gave her another chance at a happy life!

Next up is Sasha!  This sweet little gal is a 6-month-old Great Dane mix who was found as a stray & hasn't been reclaimed.  She is a fiesty but sweet girl who is very playful and energetic!

Meet Roscoe!  He's a 1-year-old Coonhound who was found running loose & hasn't been reclaimed by an owner.  (To me he looks a little skinny, so I'm guessing he may have been on his own for a while!)  He is a nice dog & is vocal - he definitely lets you know he's around!  He's probably just trying to say, "Pick me, pick me!"  :)

Shelby County Dogs
(if you're interested in adopting any of these dogs, please contact the Shelby County Animal Shelter at 937-498-7201!)

First up is Jack!  He's a Jack Russell Terrier mix who was turned in by his owner along with his brother, who he was raised with.  The shelter staff thinks they might be Jack Russell/Basenji mixes due to Jack's curly tail!

Here's Sam!  I believe he is Jack's brother - he's also a Jack Russell Terrier mix.  There's no more information in his profile, but I know the shelter staff would be more than happy to answer any of your questions about him!

Meet Blue Boy!  He's an Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler).  There's no additional information in his profile, but the shelter staff will tell you all about him if you call!

This little sweetheart is Buckeye!  He's a Beagle/Bulldog mix (called a "Beabull" - it's one of those new "designer" breeds!) whose owners could not care for him because they had medical issues.  So now poor Buckeye is looking for a new home!  He's about a year old and is used to being around kids & living indoors!

Would you look at the gorgeous eyes on BreeAnn?  This stunning gal is a Siberian Husky mix who weighs about 35 pounds - no other details are given on her profile, but if you've fallen in love with her & her baby blues, call the shelter to learn more about her!

Meet Bailey!  She's a Lab mix & was found as a stray and hasn't been reclaimed.  She appears to be housebroken, is well-behaved on a leash, and weighs around 30 to 35 pounds!

This little sweetheart is Lily!  She's a 4 or 5-year-old Poodle who has a bit of tartar on her teeth & might need a dental cleaning soon - after that she'll be ready to give you lots of doggy smiles!

Meet Sage!  This scruffy little gal is a Schnauzer mix who is looking for a new home!  There is no additional info in her profile, but the shelter staff would be happy to fill you in if you call!

Next up is Kitty!  She's a Pug/Terrier mix and is only about 6 to 8 months old!  The shelter staff says she's very nice - she just needs a good home to grow up in!

Meet Joel!  He's a Husky/Collie mix who has some of the cutest markings I've ever seen - he's blinking in this pic, and those white dots you see are actually markings in the fur over his eyes!  SO cute!  Call the shelter if you'd like to call him your own!

This sweet little baby is May, a Spaniel mix!  There's no additional info in her profile, so be sure to call the shelter if you'd like to know more about her!

Last but not least, meet Fisher!  He's a Terrier mix & there's no other info in his profile, but if you've fallen in love with his sweet face, give the shelter a call!  Don't be scared off by his grey muzzle - my pup started going gray at age 4 and still acts like a puppy!  Sweet little Fisher looks like he still has a lot of love to give!
